📑 Nature of Job & Key Responsibilities

The selected Legal Consultants will provide comprehensive legal assistance in the following areas:

✔️ Court-Related Work:

• Examination of writs, SLPs, petitions, and applications

• Assist in replying to legal notices and preparing para-wise comments

• Draft circulars, SOPs, legal guidelines, and review petitions

• Visit High Court, WB Administrative Tribunal, NGT, CAT, and assist in case hearings

• Analyze judgments and orders from Supreme Court/High Courts and suggest legal action

✔️ Departmental Legal Support:

• Provide legal opinion on various administrative and departmental issues

• Coordinate with officials and legal branches on policy matters

• Maintain legal documentation, advise on orders, compliance, and updates

• Assist in preparing legal drafts, reports, and circulars

⚖️ Terms & Conditions

• Appointment is purely contractual.

• The consultant must sign a confidentiality agreement before assignment.

• No consultant is allowed to take up any case they worked on during the contract after its end.

• One month notice is required by either party to terminate the engagement.

• Any breach of contract may lead to immediate disqualification and debarment from future engagements.
